Started in the late 1980s, Bantry Mussel Fair seeks to reflect and promote this growing industry and to promote the tourist industry in West Cork. Now in its 15th year, the Fair remains West Cork's foremost family festival, featuring its now familiar and highly popular mix of exciting open-air music, street entertainment, culinary events, children's events and lashings of craic - not to mention the mussels!
